The 9th annual Sustainability Summit by Economist Impact took place earlier this week. The 3-day event moderated by Vijay Vaitheeswaran, the Economist’s global energy and climate innovation editor, incorporated for the first time the Energy Transmission Summit and gathered professionals across many industries to network and to discuss topic such us decarbonising business, financing net zero and engaging with your supply chain.

We heard engaging talks by Tonilyn Lim, Chief of programmes United Nations Global Compact, on UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and learnt about upcoming regulations changes from Richard Barker, Board member of the ISSB.

Amongst many there were panels on strong ESG performance creating a competitive advantage, how to engage with clients on the net-zero transition, reacting to the CSRD and Sustainable logistics. Attendees discussed the challenges of sustainable supply chain management and Addressing scope 3 emissions, Navigating greenwashing and greenhushing and the future of ESG.
